Collect source records
Brand-owned pages, labels, authorized partner feeds, and regulator originals are stored with market and version context.
Trust by design
Clear provenance is part of the product, not a footnote. Automation assists the queue; a human controls publication.
Our shopping picks identify a product, selected size or shade, and an Amazon US destination. Product identity and the offered seller were checked before the link was added. Sellers and offers can change. These shopping picks are separate from the full ingredient-record workflow below and do not carry formula, efficacy or suitability approval.
Explore the catalogEach ingredient is placed in a general function group, such as humectant, emollient, preservative or pH adjuster, from its INCI name. The grouping drives the colours, filters and comparisons across the site. It describes what an ingredient family is commonly used for. It is not a concentration, a safety rating or a claim about the finished product.
Where an ingredient has been reviewed individually, its note links to the reference used. Every other note says it is a general group. Names we do not recognise stay unclassified rather than guessed.
The Skin Portrait is a nine-question self-description on four axes: oil, water, reactivity and zones. It is not a clinically validated test and it does not diagnose anything.
Product ordering compares a portrait with facts on each published label, such as listed humectants, barrier lipids, fragrance or ethanol. Commission, popularity and price are not inputs. Answers are processed in the page and are not sent to a server.

AI may suggest fields, ingredient splits, aliases, duplicates, and changes. Original text remains preserved.
A human reviewer approves product type, source fit, formula version, media rights, and seller destination.
Approved records show source, last review date, status, and formula version without implying a safety score.
A changed source hash marks the record stale and returns it to review instead of silently republishing.
Retailer copy is not used as the preferred source for formula or efficacy statements.
Raw ingredient text and normalized terms are stored together.
Extraction proposals never publish themselves.
Unapproved commercial imagery remains private or absent.
Market, package, size, and effective period remain distinct.
Reviewer, decision, timestamp, and source remain traceable.
A reviewed source does not mean Dewpick or a regulator guarantees a product is safe or suitable for every person. Rule matching does not replace professional advice or product-specific legal review.
